Illamasqua Lipstick - Howl

A few weeks ago I attended a master class session with the amazing Alex Box, Illamasqua's make up genius.
At the event, one of the make up artists suggested I try Howl, a blood / cherry red with warm undertones. It doesn't take much to convince me to try a 'different' red so I quickly added this to my collection.
As with my other Illamasqua's lipsticks, Howl is also fantastic. The pigment, consistency, non feathering factor and packaging all rate very highly in my book and continue to lure me back for more. I'll be swatching more Illamasqua red colours soon so stay tuned!

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture - 1 Le Rouge

YSL's new Rouge Pur Couture lipstick range is amazing. I purchased 1 Le Rouge a couple of months back and am really pleased with my purchase. The product is highly pigmented, long wearing and works like a lip conditioner without feathering. The packaging is incredibly sophisticated and I love the printed YSL logo on the bullet (packaging is my weakness)!

Face Stockholm Lip Liner - Tilza

Having tried and tested Face Stockholm's lip liners for a few months now, I find the formula fairly drying and prone to leaving small bits on the lips. Tilza is a pink red and although the colour is beautiful, the consistency is not great and the lid falls off constantly. Still, I am one to try and find the positives in things and have found that you can work with the product and once on - it does look gorgeous!

Francis Klein Yvette Sunglasses

I purchased my first pair of Francis Klein sunglasses on a recent trip to Paris and am in l-o-v-e. After much deliberation, I decided on 'Yvette', but in typical miss claret form, I keep thinking about the styles I left behind - so so many! The staff were incredibly helpful and are happy to post to me (!) I can't wait for my next pair :)

Clarins Rouge Prodige Lipstick - 130 Barocco

I discovered Clarin's festive collection 'Barocco' this week. I usually don't wear berry reds, but I just couldn't resit the packaging.
This lipstick feels opaque on the lips and is incredibly moisturising. It has an almost gloss feel, but is much richer in pigment.
Although it is not my usual 'colour', I am happy with my find and looking forward to wearing it over the 'festive' season!

Chanel Rouge Allure Laque Lip Lacquer - 72 Coromandel

I am not a gloss wearer, but this lip lacquer is something else. Despite looking and feeling like a lacquer, this product is super opaque and wears like a lipstick. I absolutely love it.
As well as its longevity on the lips, this product is rich in pigment and is incredibly moisturising. The packaging is worth noting as well - oh so classy!

Giorgio Armani - Rouge d'Armani Lip Color - Rouge 401

Georgios Armanis's new Rouge d'Armani Lip Color range is amazing! I purchased shade Rouge 401 a few weeks ago and it has been on my lips pretty much ever since.
It is a vibrant and opaque orange red.
The consistency is creamy and it wears well - there is no obvious feathering.
The other notable feature is the sleek modern packaging that consists of a magnetic snap closure making it a truly amazing find.

Illamasqua Lipstick - Ignite

Illamasqua's Ignite lipstick is a bright red orange. It is described as a matte finish, however I'd be inclined to say that it is more creamy or satin.
A lovely colour nonetheless and it feels great on the lips.

Thierry Mugler Rouge Unique Lipstick - 4 Thunder

I love iconic fashion designer Thierry Mugler. When I read that he had created a cosmetic line, I knew I would need his most red lipstick.
Here in London, shade 4 Thunder is impossible to get. You can't imagine my delight when a very sweet Twitter friend of mine offered to send one from the United States.
The shape of the bullet is Mugler's trademark star and the red is bright. I found on my skin it turned a pink/coral red. It is creamy and moisturising.

I am so pleased to have added this product to my collection and I give many red cyber kisses to my beautiful Twitter friend Lily!

Ellis Faas Creamy Lips - L103

Ellis Faas Creamy Lips L103 is the latest addition to my red lipstick collection. L103 is brighter and more orange based than the Ellis' signature L101 red, both incredibly beautiful shades.

Barry M Lip Liner - 3 - Red

My Barry M cosmetic collection is expanding. I bought this red (number 3) lip liner when I purchased my Barry M 121 Pillar Box Red lipstick a few weeks back. While the colours do not go together, they are both fantastic reds.
This lip liner goes on like a marker pen and is smooth and highly pigmented. On my skin it turns a pink red - it is both bright and vibrant.
I must say that I am impressed with the quality of this cosmetic range given its price and will be swatching more items soon.
